Import Transactions into QuickBooks Pro/Premier/Enterprise

What are the options for importing transactions and data into QuickBooks Pro, Premier or Enterprise?

One of my favorite tools is the Transaction Pro Importer solution. (I am an affiliate partner)

QUICKBOOKS LISTS VS. QUICKBOOKS TRANSACTIONS

In case you weren’t aware, it is possible to import the following directly into QuickBooks Pro/Premier/Enterprise directly from Excel:

  • Customers
  • Vendors
  • Items/Inventory
  • Chart of Accounts (via the Advanced Import option)

All of this can be found via File > Utilities > Import > Excel Files

But what if you need to get transactions into QuickBooks or you need to import data (CSV or Excel) from another source such as an e-commerce shopping cart or other solution?

Since you can’t import transactions directly into QuickBooks (no matter how many times you say please!), that’s where Transaction Pro Importer comes in handy.

I’ve put together this handy video to give you an introduction into the Transaction Pro Importer tool works. Hope you find it informative.

Here is the link to grab the sample data file that outlines all the lists and transactions that Transaction Pro handles.

NEED TO IMPORT LISTS OR TRANSACTIONS INTO QUICKBOOKS ONLINE?

There is also an import tool that handles the import of transactions in QuickBooks online (click QuickBooks Online in the top menu).
