Want to get paid faster on your customer invoices?

If so, read on…

THE MAGIC BUTTON ON YOUR INVOICES

Imagine giving your customers one-click access to pay their invoices with you.

If you use the QuickBooks payment platform, this magic button provides one-click payment:

Accepting Credit Cards in QuickBooks

Notice in my example above, there is the option to just use a default template within the e-mail message or prepare one more personalized. The choice is yours.

You decide exactly what options your customer has when paying you:

  • By debit or credit card?
  • By bank ACH transfer?
  • Both?

Here’s the box that gives you complete control over the options you provide (and you can set this per customer):
Processing credit cards in QuickBooks

WHAT YOUR CUSTOMER SEES WHEN YOUR INVOICE ARRIVES

The electrons are now moving, and your customer clicks the “View and Pay” button as shown above.

Here is what they will see:
Offering credit card payments in QuickBooks

It’s super simple for your customer from this point:

  • Choose the method of payment
  • Fill in the payment details
  • Click the “Pay” button
  • Optional – if desired, they can save their payment information to use on the next invoice you send them too

AUTOPOSTING THE PAYMENT BACK TO YOUR QUICKBOOKS

Once your customer completes their payment, you receive an e-mail notification that payment has been made.

You can then easily click the “Merchant Service Deposits” in your QuickBooks (if using Pro/Premier/Enterprise) or directly within QBO to finalize the posting of the payment to open invoices.

QuickBooks also sends another message once the funds have been deposited into your account. Debit/Credit cards have different funding schedules than bank ACH transfers.

THE REAL DEAL – 90+% OF MY CLIENTS PAY ONLINE!

True story – once I turned on QuickBooks payments, well over 90% of the invoices I send are being paid electronically now.

Talk about a positive boost to cash flow! <grin!!>

Having all of this under one roof is a huge time-saver. No need to work in two separate systems – one to process the card and then double the work to post it in QuickBooks. And I don’t have to tell you that time is money…

This sounds interesting. How much does it cost?

      Hi Alex:

There are lots of variables here, including version of QuickBooks used, whether you are swiping or keying in the transactions, and whether you want to pay as you go or set up lower ongoing rates. I’ll contact you directly for follow-up.

      Scott
